Dreaming of cheesecake

  • Last night I was so tired that I fell asleep on the sofa at 8:30. And I dreamed I was at Wegman's picking out cheesecake. There were several different kinds, and I was debating about the chocolate one, or there was one with nuts.

Mostly I don't remember my dreams, so I'm a little scared that I remember this one so vividly.

Anyway, it just freaked me out! Why don't I dream about spinach salad?
  • LOL... No worries. You are normal. I don't really have food dreams now but I can remember having some when I was first trying to clean out my system.
  • lol I am not dreaming of fruits or veggies either!!! I dream of ice cream sometimes and I am not even that big an ice cream fan.
  • If it makes you feel better, I dreamt about an old high school boyfriend last night.

And mind you, I am 16 years out of high school, married for 10 years, have 4 kids, and a completely different value system then the "me" in my dream had.

I think our dreams are sometimes a mechanism for helping us process. I don't think they are indicative of who or what we really are.

Just keep resisting that cheesecake, girl and I promise I won't dig up that old boyfriend lol
  • LOL! Funny because I want cheesecake so bad and I will be the one dreaming about it tonight after reading this post.
  • no calories = no worries!
  • I used to dream of food ALL THE TIME when I was first starting out. I'd have binges in my dreams and wake up feeling guilty! lol!!!
  • When I have been on a restrictive diet in the past, I once dreamed I ate an entire cake! It was when I did the SBD years ago. I think that sometimes we simply dream vividly about it because we have made such a change in our diets. I eat cake rarely, but it was like the absolute worst food I could eat when following the South Beach. Dreams are silly sometimes.
