Next month I have set myself a goal of trying internet dating and want to have a current picture for my profile. I'm a bit self conscious about having friends take that picture but not sure where I can get one taken. Most of the "portrait studios" I looked up online (like Sears) are interested in selling you a packet of physical pictures and only sell you a CD of the pictures as an add on.

I've heard of Glamour Shots, but don't really want to be made up for the picture. Any ideas?

Honestly for dating sites a candid pic is the best, then you're not trying too hard to smile. Have a girl's night out with some friends, take your camera, take pics of everyone and encourage others to do the same. Share the pics, and find your favorite and use that. Been through this, and staged pics never merit a second glance.
