Here I Go Again!!!!

  • My dieting journey first began in summer 2008 on weight watchers and i lost 20 lbs. But before I knew it I was no longer sticking with it I was back to my old habits. I didnt try another diet until november 2009. My bestfriends mom had gave me info on the diet she lost (she lost a great amount). It basically consisted of a list of foods that you can eat and if its not on the list you dont eat it. It was pretty easy to follow you could pretty much eat anything except breads, pasta, etc. and sweets. I did about 2 weeks of that and dropped 13 lbs with no exercise. I was sick one day and didnt really eat anything and the next day when I was well again I totally blew it.

    Again April 2010 I decided Im gonna go at this again. Week 1 lost 6 lbs. Week 2 I started out right then thought about cheating so I stepped on the scale and another 5 lbs were gone but I guess I just had no will power what so ever because the next day I snuck in 2 desserts and one the next day. So when I went to weigh myself on my normal weighing date i had gained 3 lbs putting my week 2 weight loss at only 2 lbs. After that my days would go back and forth between doing the diet and allowing exceptions here and there and before I knew it a whole week had gone by without me being on the diet which leads me to the present....

    I was feeling very down about my discipline when it comes to dieting...doing well seeing the results and not accepting the major motivation that can bring about. So I decided to go talk to my best friends mom just to see how she made it through those tempting days. She gave me great advice. So now I have yet again started my journey I am now on day two.

    I looked back and evaluated what I did in the past and I realized once I get to that 2 week mark I begin to slack off. So that is my first goal to get through these 2 weeks and then go beyond without cheating. The talk we had just gave me so much motivation I figured I should have had that talk with her from the get go.

    It really looks like you know what to do to lose weight...it's just those old foods and behaviors that get in the way of keeping it off. There are lots of chicks here who are finding a way to get through the times when bad food is calling and move on to permanent weight loss. Find your spot here and hang your hat.

  • Welcome!!!!!! I know how you feel about starting off great and then it not working out. Its totally a bummer and i myself hate it and don't get why i can't stay motivated.

    You sound very motivated and you can to this You have so much support here and tons of success stories. I know reading the success stories is helping me get even more motivated. I wish you the best!!!
