I eat so much more food when I'm dieting!

  • Man, seems like I have to eat soooo much food to get to my 1200 calories for a day.

    My run down of planned meals today:

    Breakfast- Banana, Peanut Butter on whole wheat bread, and benefiber.
    Snack - 100 Calorie cookie pack and celery
    Lunch - Protein Shake and carrots
    Snack - Sugar Free York Peppermint Patties
    Dinner - Turkey Burger, some pickles, and whole grain chips & salsa

    All comes out to 1200 calories exactlty, perfect amount of protein and fat for my goals...but sooo much food! Before I was dieting I'd eat like a bagel in the morning, some chips at lunch and then some dinner.
  • lol yeh i think i actually eat more volume of food now with fewer calories. 1200 of chocolate and cake doesn't amount to much after all :P lol

    You are stronger than I!! I could never survive off just a protein shake and some carrots for lunch. I'd feel like I was missing out on something horribly.
  • ha Yeah Protein shakes are really filling to me, and I'm not even use to eating a lunch, so I suppose it works out fine for me.
  • i've noticed this too! since my food has a lot of fruit and veggies and not much processed food in it, now its hard to get all the calories i need! i feel like i'm stuffing myself
  • Mine's the opposite. I feel like I only eat twice a day and I hit my calories, probably due to the food I'm eating in general. But man, it's hard to diet when you live in a house with 4 other people and have little say in what gets bought =/
  • i'm trying to eat often too, with a lot of fruit and vegetables, but have really horrible eating habits. like today i finally got around to eating some strawberries and milk for breakfast around 5 in the afternoon! I had a nice dinner though
    (i went to the olive garden, lol) I feel eating does get in way on really busy days, especially this final's week.
