REintroduction.

  • Hi my name is Jennifer. I am 30 years old and I live in SC. I love animals and I love my LONNG time boyfriend. I have ONLY ever had success at losing weight when I no longer eat meat. I was thin as a vegetarian. And really thin as a vegan.

I don't want to stop eating meat again. But everytime i lose weight I only get down to the 160s-170s and then the weight refuses to budge...and I give up!

I did notice each time the inches were giving me the most results...but I thought nahhh! I need to lose weight! Pictures motivate me the most, and they have to be blaring in your faces pictures...that really show the inches....

this time around...i will be using no holds barred to drop the inches--NOT the weight.

I have thoroughly taken my measurements and will be watching them go down instead of my weight. I might weigh once a week though.
  • Hi Jennifer

Welcome back! It sounds like you are learning things about yourself which will help you with recommitting.

It seems you have a great plan for paying more attention to inches than the scale. I use the scale for information only. I've only lost 3 pounds since Jan. but lately everyone has been commenting again about my weight loss. What changed? Spring-and I'm riding my bike everyday!

Suggestion; if you really like eating meat, perhaps you could just scale back a bit and most importantly, don't give up! Find the balance with your calories AND the way you like to eat and make it a plan for life. From what I understand, maintenance is pretty much like dieting; a continual quest to make better choices.

    Best wishes!
