I know a lot of people get amazing relief from type 2 diabeties right away but waht about other meds? do your doses or how often you take them change?
I am on Welbutron (buproion XL 150Mg three X a day) which means it is a very slow acting anti-depressant drug at a pretty high dosage (I go higher in the winter and lower in the summer)
I am having to change over to regular release (SR steady release) and four 100mg tabs that I take when I take my vitimins. I am hoping it helps with the depression I am feeling build up which is NOT helped by boughts of blah nasty weather that dont seem to end these days.
I was just wondering if anyone else has dealt with stuff like this
I had the exact same experience. My doctor had me on extended release Wellbutrin. Obviously, after my surgery, it wasn't working. My depression got really bad and was keeping me in bed and stress eating, which made me completely plateau in my weight loss. When I figured out what was happening, I had to call my doctor four times to get the correct prescription (I'm so done with that guy now!). I'm on regular Wellbutrin now and it's really helping a lot, and I'm losing weight again!
Also, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16, so I took metformin for about 5 years. When I got my surgery, it immediately went away. My blood sugar is normal and for the first time in my life, my periods are regular. I couldn't believe how quickly it happened!!
spooky - the FAST weight loss often affects our hormones and such , and that has an effect on whatever depression/anxiety we're feeling. so, keep in touch with your doc about this. you might need more meds, different meds, less meds. just stay flexible.
