Advice Ideas and Inspiration

  • I've been on forums before in the past but in the last few years I've shyed away from them. I'm reaching out again this time for some help and some inspiration. I'm 32, married and diagnosed with hypothyroidism just recently. I have an appointment to meet with a weight management specialist. I feel like I'm barely keeping my head above water and if I don't take this really seriously soon it's only going to get a lot harder. I have about 100 lbs to lose.

  • 3FC is a great place when you're looking for support. Find a couple home baords on here that you like to keep up with and post on and I'm sure you'll make some quick friends...
  • Hi there! Hope you're doing alright. Just do it slowly and have a positive mindset. Believe that you can get yourself out of this situation. Nothing is impossible if you believe.
  • I commented on your other post too but just wanted to say don't get discouraged. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 19 and it took awhile to get everything balanced out and where it should be. I'm 27 now and I've been on the same dose of synthroid for almost 5 years and am down to testing once or twice a year.

Its absolutely manageable and you can meet your goals regardless! Where theres a will theres a way!
