You name it, I've tried it... Meet Ms. Compulsive Overeater herself--Angela!

  • hello beautiful ladies!

I'm here, just like most of you to REALLY lose some weight and get healthier. I just weighed myself not too long ago to put my starting weight in my stats ...and umm, I'm the heaviest I've ever been! I stand at 5'3" and am currently 151.6 pounds. My goal is to get to the 120-125 pound range. I'm 22 years old, will be 23 pretty soon, and don't want this to be the beginning of my "downward spiral" to becoming more overweight. I struggle immensely with emotional eating and compulsive overeating, but I know that my desire to become better is stronger than that. It has to be.

I've tried almost everything when it comes to the world of weight loss and overeating-- numerous diets, Overeaters Anonymous aka OA, sessions with an eating disorder psychotherapist, Jenny Craig...you name it. I know it almost seems like I'm a lost cause but I refuse to give up. If I don't keep trying, my only other option is to quit. And I will NEVER quit!

I hope to make supportive friends through this forum and be just as encouraging to you all.
  • Hey, just like you I have done so many things to lose weight. I think you just have to find the one that works for you. Weight Watchers seems to work the best for me cause I don't feel restricted from anything and I just do it at home so its inexpensive... Good luck on your journey and welcome.
  • I too have tried many programs to lose weight but eventually it creeps back on and now I am hoping to make the changes that will help me stay healthy. good luck on your journey
