  • I FROZE the cake that my daycare kids mom brought over after feeding three slices to the three littles

I cooked chicken breast for my salad for lunch even though I would have rather eaten cake (thank you Matt and your 10 day challenge!)

I did my WATP workout dvd even though I'm SORE from lifting yesterday

    what have YOU done today???
  • I satisfied my sweet/chocolate craving with 10 chocolate chips.

I exercised for 40 minutes even though I felt bored out of my skull at 20 minutes in.
  • I ate scads of vegetables for lunch - half an acorn squash and a plateful of greens/radish/celery etc topped with tasty tuna salad that involved yet more vegetables. I sometimes have to really work to get the volume and variety of vegetables that I need on a daily basis.
  • I did more than 3 hours of HEAVY gardening and I'm still on plan with my eating! (Usually I'd have given myself a gooey fat treat.)
  • I stayed on plan with my eating and I strength trained! I am SO proud of myself.
  • I finally celebrated being under 300 lbs. I think I was hesitant to embrace my new numbers because I half expected to bounce back up over 300. Wrong mindset! I'm under 300lbs for good, yay!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing I'm proud of is, my reward to myself was ordering a gorgeous pair of shoes I'd spotted and a new handmade bag! No food treats involved!!
  • I did not go back to bed after getting the kids off to school this morning, I too the effort of making something on-plan to eat for breakfast, lunch and snacks without looking for something easy, I just finished 30 minutes of intense walking on the treadmill.
  • i had a salad and went for a walk on my lunch break! still on plan. was thinking about skipping kickboxing tonight but after reading this i am starting to reconsider!
  • I walked and I'm going to walk home after work with the kidlets. It's nice out so I want to take advantage and then I'm on a four day weekend, Monday is my B-day and I took some time to pamper but also to get stuff done around the house.
  • I stared at the work vending machine for 10 minutes when a chocolate craving hit. I walked away without buying anything and left my chocolate craving in the machine as well.
  • I took a moment to be thankful that I'm alive, have a roof over my head, and fresh foods in the kitchen. And then I became thankful that my life and health are so much better than they were before I started this journey...

oh yeah, and I did W2D1 of C25K.
  • I WALKED to the grocery store and back for lunch on my lunch break instead of driving.
And, I got the salad bar... skipped the sodium-filled soup and chicken tenders in the deli that were calling my name.
  • Just posting to say I love that song by Heather Small.
  • I ran almost 3 miles, and am going to run a 5K tonight.
  • I ran outside, on hills for 17.5 minutes while I was running, I felt thankful for my mom, who fed me healthy foods when I was young, a dividend that still pays back now that I'm pushing fifty.
