Starting Over.

  • Alright I have tried Three different scales so I am going to go with the one that I know I'll use more often the wii fit scale and forget about the other ones, It was like a slap in the face when I got on it and it said I was 304.7 when my other scale was telling me I was 290, So at least I am not at the 310 mark I was when I first joined or the 320 mark that I was when I started loosing weight. So one day at a time and one pound at a time I will get there, I know it's not going to happen over night but now I am more aware.
  • Right there with you in that "starting over" boat. We are close to same weight too. Lets do it! Next year we will either be heavier, because we did nothing, or lighter, its simple...which one do we want? One pound, one day, one bite at a time, it can be done!
  • butbut.. if your old scale was off by so much, you still count the number lost! You aren't starting over, just a little higher. All that work was still done and you still lost that weight! Don't short change yourself.

    Hugs,
    Ratkity
  • That's why I only weigh on one scale, as long as the numbers keep going down, I know I'm on the right track. Every scale is different, that's why with the exception of the one at the doctor's, I don't get on any other. If it says we are over what ours says, we are sad. If it's under, we are happy, but the truth is they are both wrong.
  • Every scale is totally different, which sucks when I go to the doctor and it is a bit higher lol.

You know, I feel like I'm starting over too. I've regained 15 pounds and am now back at 2 flippin' 80 and that sucks, but you know I've banned myself from the scale until the end of April. That way I can focus on food and getting my butt moving. I think it is more of a "refocus" rather than a start over, but still...in a way it is starting over, getting back to the ideal attitudes, food intake, blah blah.

*HUGS* We'll get there! I've been doing this since 2008 and I feel like yeah, i've made progress, but damn I haven't made enough, but yet we are getting there!
  • Thank you all, I feel good about eight more pounds and I'll be down to where I was when I was staring over.
