Period from **** is back! And diet rant..

  • Ugh, so I've been bleeding since January.. got put on Agyestin in middle of march. It did a great job at stopping my period, but of course, a missed pill = full blown period within HOURS.
It seems like my body just wants to bleed bleed bleed. I just decided to let it bleed for awhile and see what happens. Maybe it just needs to get rid of everything that's built up again.

I am feeling super good about my change of diet. For the first two weeks I was calorie counting, but was still eating processed foods and I was losing great (2lbs a week).

Now I have given up processed and sticking to whole foods and trying to eat a ton more raw veggies... and I AM UP TO 205.4 this morning! I am gaining weight! Argh!

Not sure if it's due to the period or what, but it sucks! I don't want to go back to processed foods. I am sure this struggle to lose the weight is because of the hormonal imbalance and the insulin resistance. But I just have to keep trying.

Now I had a pelvic ultrasound on Saturday.. I am wondering if they found any cysts or polyps.. or fibroids. I wonder if THAT could be causing this non-stop period?
My Dr. is out for a few weeks and I don't want to wait that long for the results, so I'll be picking up a copy for myself as soon as I can.

Well that's my little rant for today. I just decided to keep doing positive things for myself and hope it starts to balance off all the negative things going on in my body.

  • Hang in there!

    A.
  • Wow- I hope you are taking the meds again?

Constant bleeding obviously as you know isn't good- so I wouldn't continue to allow yourself to bleed if you can help it. Don't give up on the new way of eating- the processed food isn't better- it must be helping but your body just has so many other issues.

Has the doctor tried putting you on birth control to help?

If you have insulin resistance try to limit your carb intake and concentrate on lean meats and lots of veggies, occassional fruit, nuts and avocado are okay, and also multigrains and whole grains. I stay away from anything that is white!

I talked to my Dr. and they had my up my meds to 4 pills a day and it seems to be working.
I got my results back and my endometirum is ridiculously thick so they are doing a biopsy. The Dr. doesn't think it's cancer and says its 'cos of the PCOS but she wants to be sure to rule out cancer first.

I've been staying away from sugar and all bad foods. I do have a little bit of whole grains during the day.. but definitely eating more and more veggies everyday. I am super proud of myself. The scale went back down to 203 from 205.4, so at least its moving in the right direction!
