I've been overweight (& unhappy) since I was about 11. I'm not to sure how I got so big. It seemed like it just crept up on me. So now here I am in a size 18. I've tried all kinds of things to lose weight and lost but I eventually would stop and gain it back and more. This time HAS to be different because I have been diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian syndrome. Basically I have a lot of cysts in my ovaries. PCOS is the leading cause of infertility and can also cause type 2 diabetes, both of which I am terrified of. PCOS can't be cured because it is genetic but some of the related issues can be controlled by losing weight. My goal is to weigh a healthy 145lbs. I'm motivated, excited and ready to go! I look forward to getting all of your support and in return supporting all of you! Let's go ladies! We can do this!
Hi Becca! It is great that you are starting this journey and lifelong change :-) I am also relatively new to this site and love it so far. It is a great way to connect and just read other peoples stories. There is so much great information here and it can help you decide the route best for you. I personally have been striving toward the whole food way of eating and feel great so far! I am not 100% whole food, probably more like 75% but I just feel healthier overall.
Wishing you the best of luck and hope you find great health and happiness!
