Sorry I'm just excited lol
I went to a wedding yesterday and Murphys Law was in effect... my dress didnt fit so I became a semestress and fixed it and it looked fabulous...no pictures because I suck and everything bad happened...
we were running late... we got pulled over...got a ticket... my belt to said dress broke as were the last ones walking into the wedding... I was in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone service... the food sucked... we didnt know anyone and I was hardcore stalked and harassed to dance...
I went to bed starving because I barely ate anything but it was too late once I got home to eat anything else...
My one foot hurts probably because of my heels... I was also a giant because of them...oh well
I think today is going to be my off day for the gym...however I could end up there if I get bored... I have to finish my personal statement today!!!!
and I need to study because I havent studied since wednesday

I need to go buy macaroni actually haha. I don't have that kind of pasta in the house (fail). YAY FOR 86 POUNDS! THAT'S AWESOME. I'm so proud of you! And the wedding doesn't sound fun but hey, at least you got stalked. Somebody had the hawts for you haha.
So I had this death fear of gaining loads of weight this week, because I normally know when I lose and I knew I wasn't going to this week. And from last BL weigh-in I only gained 0.2 which still sucks because it's not a loss. But then I looked at the muscle vs. fat percentage and I actually gained a whole percentage in muscle. I don't exactly know what that entails (if that's a pound or what) but that means I'm getting stronger!
So I guess I'm ok with a 0.2 gain if it means making my muscles stronger. But this non-loss trend had better not continue or I'll kick myself in the ***.

My back still hurts. gosh darn-it. However, I've been walking and walking and walking, so thats good. Today I did 5 miles in 80 minutes - thats pretty good...half of it was uphill and the other half was into the wind...so yay me!
YAY HALEY!! **high five**
Jess7286! Whats up lady?! Hope all is well!
I had a great first week of zig-zagging, I feel great, and I love that I have high days because I don't feel the urge to over eat...actually yesterday was my super high day and the only reason I got all my calories in is because I drank 4 light beer... i know i know, not healthy...but mmmm yummy! NSV - went to a friends place with my bf for a movie after the Yuk Yuks comedy festival (and my 4 beers) and said no to the pizza, the 2nd pizza that came, and the cheesy garlic sticks with dipping sauce ( which is omg sooo yummy)... and came home this morning to 2 cold pizzas and garlic fingers with donair sauce (also my freaking fav)....and ate an ezekial english muffin instead.
I haven't weighed myself since Wednesday...ughk - driving me foolish, but today, my *** looked smaller in the mirror, so I'll go with that.
Is it really Monday tomorrow already?

Jenny - Congrats on your NSVs, you go girl!
Speaking of weddings, I was at the Wildwood Wedding Convention today with my mom because Liberty Travel was giving out the grand prize (Free honey moon) and let's just say there was a LOT of cake sampling. God I am SO glad the Walk/Planks challenge starts tomorrow! I've eaten enough sodium-laden food to retain water for the next WEEK.
Also, I'm pretty sure my NEW party dress will be here tomorrow
But it probs won't fit thankyouverymuch sodium. My feet are super swollen too :C I was standing and walking around and carrying things all day. So hopefully all of that activity battles some of the calories? Or maybe I'm just being optimistic lol. Luckily I was allowed to venture around and pick up free samples and nabbed some bath salts for a foot soak
perfeeecctttt!
Ladies that get their hair done - Have you ever heard of a permanent wave? Is it different from a regular perm?

Just re-joining the site, haven't been on in quite a while, and I've gained 65lbs in that time...
Do any of you watch the biggest loser? I was thinking about doing a week at their resort thingy, even though it's super expensive, for the one week of vacation that I get in June...but I don't have anyone to go with, and it's expensive, and I don't know how far into my weight-loss journey i'll be by then.
Anyway, to re-introduce myself, i'm april, i'm 25, and a medical student. My schedule makes it really difficult to keep a regular workout schedule (but of course, whose doesn't), and I was really sick for months and not allowed to work out, which got me back to this point, my highest weight, which i've hit once before, in january 2004. I'm trying to healthily lose this weight without obsessing about it to the unhealthy point i usually get to while trying to lose weight, but it's such a difficult tight-rope to balance.
Trying to start my time again here on a positive note, my biggest NSV this week-- there is a restaurant right outside of my apartment that makes like, salads, sandwhiches, burritos, stir fry, etc to order, but for some reason they've never let me order my salad in a wrap, my favorite way to eat it, mainly becuase they don't know how to ring it up. I went in at an off-hour this week to talk to a manager, and let them know that i was willing to pay more, i just wanted this to be an option, and they agreed, and i've now been able to get a nice healthy option that i enjoy eating all week. luckily, when i wake up in the morning, a new week is starting, and between my two finals and getting over this cold, i hope to have another nsv bigger and better. hope everyone else is doing well!
And for those of you that don't know, there's a thread in the 20-somethings forum about a 24 day challenge to walk/run everyday and do planks everyday!Originally Posted by nutrition junkie

Have a great Monday!

to all the new faces around here
Yes, I am very excited about that. I live in Atlanta, GA with my husband and kids. I'm a certified Turbo Kick instructor and I have lost 67 pounds so far. I started with Weight Watchers, but I now do calorie counting. I'm trying to decide if I would like to maintain or lose a few mores lbs. Either way, I def need the support and I hope I can find it here. I'm going to go look over the thread and catch up somewhat.
