New member to WW and here

  • Hello All,

I started WW on Feb. 8th and am doing well. I am a 30 something yr old Mom and was doing well with weightloss a few years ago and then it started creeping back.

My first week I lost 5 pounds and the second week I lost 3. Then I lost 1 pound and the past couple weeks I have been going up and down with the same pound or two.

It's my fault. The first few weeks I was focused and I have lost a little of that. This past week hasn't been good and weigh in for me is tomorrow. I am ok with taking whatever I get and going on.

Anyways, I wanted to say hello and get some encouragement along the way and hopefully encourage someone else as well.

    Thanks for reading,
    Brooke
  • How did you weigh in go? I had an up and down this past week. I kept going up one pound and down one pound and ultimately lost 0. the good thing about this for me, is that I still let myself have a splurge night, I didn't feel deprived and am looking forward to see what loss next week holds. Maybe nothing, but that's still better than gaining IMO. hang in there! it's hard when life gets in the way. this is my fourth week on program, too. Good luck to you!
  • I hope you did well on your weigh-in. Mine is tonight and I might have stayed the same or gone up .2 or .4 also. Do you know what the best part of that is though, that I am still going to the meeting. I have been a yo-yoer my whole life and I am tired of losing and gaining the same 60lbs so I am in it this time to win. Period. That means that I am not going to lose the 60lbs in one month and that this will take a while to do and it is ok if I stay the same for one week but not more than that or I am cheating and just not being honest about it. Since we are so new to this that would be the obvious reason. If it was longer on in our journey the weight might slow down as we are getting closer to goal but for now if I stay the same for two weeks in a row then I need to re-evaluate what is actually going in my mouth and if I have been sitting on my butt instead of walking around. As you can see I am going to be a little tougher on myself this time around. I want this to be a lifestyle change instead of a diet. Maybe then I won't gain in back again. Good luck.
