OT: Grades back... ugh

  • I got a D+ in Spanish. GPA for the term is 2.5, cumulative down to a 3.27. I feel like such a failure.
  • Its really not bad. Luckily I never had to take a foreign language in college because I took 2 years of it in high school but a 3.27 isnt bad at all.
  • You aren't a failure. School gets so frustrating because it seems like the focus is always on grades, not on actually learning anything. Do you have to re-take it? I know at my school if you retake something, only the new grade counts towards your GPA. The old one is still on you transcript, but not in the GPA.
  • A 3.27 is definitely not a failure. So you had a bad term. That doesn't mean all is lost. I think schools focus too much on grades anyway. You'll do better next semester!

Good luck, and keep your chin up.
  • those languages always get me. i don't give them much mind and then they sneak up on me.
