Frustrated with myself.

  • Ugh..I'm feeling so discouraged I need to vent. I talked a few days ago about stomach pains ect.. Since then I haven't been eating much and stopped counting calories because it was just frustrating. So I found out today I go in next week to get my gallbladder out. I swear everytime I start to lose a lil weight or eating better something comes up or goes wrong! I'm so frustrated that will be 1 almost 2 weeks not counting and just eating what I can stomach. It's a woe is me moment but I'm just sick of starting and stoping i feel like it's just not going to ever happen for me!! Ugh... Sorry big vent...
  • Hang in there, don't give up! I hope your surgery goes well and you get back on track right away.
  • No sense in being frustrated with YOURSELF. It's not your fault that your gallbladder has to come out!

I know two people who had to have theirs out late last year. Yikes! You'll feel so much better once it's gone.
  • I had my gallbladder removed several years ago-like you, I was having pain. You will feel so much better once it's gone! Also, I remember the doc telling me I could eat what I wanted while waiting for the surgery, but to stay away from fat-which would aggravate the gallbladder. So, you can still eat well while you're waiting! Hope all goes well-keep us updated
  • :hugs:

    Hang in there!

Just take it in stride, take care of you through this surgery, and nuture yourself so you can heal well.

    GL!
    A.
  • I hope your gallbladder surgery goes well. Don't give up. It sounds like you REALLY want this weight loss. You’re sick, but you’re still concerned about your diet; that’s really inspirational. I think once you feel better you'll be back on track. Just worry about getting better and getting some rest. I hope you feel better soon.
  • My mom and sister have both had their gall bladders removed. They both feel better now than they did before. I hope the same happens for you. Hang in there and keep taking care of yourself.
  • thanks SO much guys, I do really want to get back on track i feel like it will be alot easier once this is over with. It just get's so frustrating with stuff getting in the way like health, life etc.. I've had no appetite that's why i haven't been eating much. I needed the encouragement thanks again.
  • I had pain too, and found it was my gal bladder and had it removed. Gal stones were probably the worst pain I have been in, in my life. My c-section didn't hurt as bad as gal stones, so I feel you. I know gal bladder disease is NO fun girl! But you will feel so much better when it is out.
  • A positive thought!
My brother, who started out a bit chunky but in no way fat, lost 30 lbs in 2 months when he started having issues with his gallbladder. Between time of diagnosis and then removal, there were very few foods he could keep down. He is a super health food freak so he tried to pack as much nutrition as he could in the foods he could eat. He lost a ton of weight.

Not that anyone wants to get sick or need surgery but if you have to have symptoms,heck...why not make it one that actually works in your favor??

Hang in there, find the foods you can eat and eat the healthiest version you can find of it and make sure you stay hydrated! I'm sorry you are not feeling well, hope you get through this quickly!!
  • You will feel better once surgery is done. Than you can get back to losing weight.
  • how much does that gallbladder weigh, you're sure to lose with it gone LOL

all kidding aside, you'll feel so much better when it's out of there, good luck on your surgery
