Weight Watcher's Conair Scale

  • I was wondering if anyone else has this scale. Mine does not seem to be accurate at all. It will say I weigh down to the tenth the exact same weight every day even with clothes added or removed. I guess it has some kind of memory chip built in that is doing this.

I had a Taylor digital before and it worked great. I am about to trash the one I have and get another one. Just wondering if it is me and just thought I would let others know just in case.
  • Most digital scales have that "feature" built in where unless it's more than X number of ounces different it gives you the last weight reading. I guess it's supposed to make you feel like the scale is more accurate and consistent that it really is. I don't have your scale, but on my scale, I weigh just a foot to in effect clear out the memory then get on it.
  • my new scale doesn't let me weigh just a foot to reset, so I get on with a 2 lb book and then weigh a second time, and that's the one I use.
  • I have my daughter get on. She weighs about 60lbs, so it always resets for me. Now, though, I have a new scale and don't have as much trouble with that. My old digital (Health something or other) would flash different numbers and then finally "decide" on one. Then if you got right back on it would do the same thing and "pick" a different number, sometimes off as much as 2lbs. Very frustrating!! The new one is a Taylor. Basic digital scale - no BF% stuff. It works like a dream. I have tested it by weighing as a control and then holding something small like a bottle of shampoo and it recognizes the difference. It could be just that it's new. I am sure the older they get, the more they lose accuracy. The other one was about 5 years old.
  • My Taylor scale does the same thing
  • I just got a new one at Target today and it doesn't have the memory thing that the Conair/WW one has. Much happier!
