Six Weeks Today!

  • Well, today is my six week mark with a total of 32lbs gone! All of my jeans can come off without unbuttoning them...3 belt notches tighter. Yes, I'm happy!

Overall it's been really easy...occasionally I struggle with breakfast. My longest stall was a week and a half...may have been the mushrooms that I added to my diet during that period.

This morning I ran my first 5km (3.13 miles) since 4 years at about 9kph (5.7mph). I have had a lot of issues with my ankles and compartment syndrom, but had no symptoms this morning! Yes, this is exciting for me...up there with Canada's gold medal win over US...lol.

Now, I am at a point where I'd love to be able to add fruit...kinda craving them lately. Perhaps that means it's time to transition out of induction so I can eventually reach that "rung".

Thanks again for your support everyone!!
  • Good for you!! That is great. Well..you might want to move on from induction. Something to consider anyway.

We had an intern at my job who had compartment syndrome! She is a runner...and I had never heard of it before. Hope yours is better than hers. She has had several surgeries on both calves and was unable to do Peace Corps because she might need an emergency surgery at any time. Painful!
  • Wow, good for you! That's amazing! Doesn't it feel wonderful to be so healthy? I think you can safely move back up the rungs towards maintenance, you have been doing so great!
