  • OK, Day 1 it is!
    My plan is:

    1. Eat 1400-1600 calories and <70g. low glycemic carbs. No sugar, no white flour. I use Fitday and will track this everyday.
    2. Drink only water, tea or cranwater; coffee for 2 cups in the morning only.
    3. Lifestyle(the "E" word): choice of some movement, or a relaxation activity everyday. Weights, yoga, mini-trampoline, or whatever. This has to be something physical, but doesn't exclude meditation, massage, baths, or pedicures!

    PLAN FOR SUNDAY:

    b-coffee, eggs, and bacon
l-tuna salad on romaine with carrots
    s-cashews
d-grilled pork chops with green beans
    s-jello/cottage cheese whip
    water, iced green tea only

I will be doing a big garage and patio clean-up today, and washing the kitchen floor. A long bubble bath will be nice!

  • Aw Sue, I was hoping to enjoy the holiday!
But I'll enjoy it the LC way!

Today is day one and I commit to ....

Plan and post my menu. Watching portion size as well as carbs.
Water, water, water instead of diet pepsi's.
Some form of physical activity. I have committed to returning to the gym starting Tuesday morning.

Let me get my meal plan for the day figured out and I'll come back.

    WE CAN DO THIS !!
  • Okay, I can start today just as easily as Tuesday.
My goal is to lose 5 pounds and exercise at least 5 days a week.
I weighted in this morning at 255.

    B: coffee, peach protein drink

L: chicken beef teriyaki, steamed mixed veggies

S: will be pork rinds w/ assorted cream cheese spreads & celery sticks

S: things didn't go as planned, but still OP. Son brought me 2 hot dogs and a burger he's grilled. No bread!

Water: almost got 64 oz in. Will make it before bedtime.

    Exercise: day off
  • drinking wel and eating Op just not eating enough tonight. it stimulates cravings and had a small hadful of popcorn and a spoon of icecream but had no other carbs today so it is within limits. did not eat much today though.
  • So far so good.
I've eated OP today, did some weight training, went shopping and bought 2 new pairs of shorts. Biggest size I've ever bought. Nothing like that for motivating you to stay OP. My only downfall has been the water. DH & I left the house at 8am for a quick run to Wally world for TP, and ended up shopping til we dropped at the Mall, and not back until 4pm. I'm exhausted. Hauling all the clothes that HE bought should count as weight training too. Great sales, though.

This is going to sound stupid, but the "thing I did for me today" was eat a salad. I've never eated a salad before. Not since the 1 time my Dad made me try salad when I was a kid. I did this voluntarily and it was good. Not at all like I remembered. Might just try it again. I think the Romaine lettuce instead of Iceburg lettuce is what made it okay.

Enough rambling, sorry about the novel...

  • Ok I'm ready!

    My goals will be:

-Eat on plan every day. I will allow myself one cheat per week, which will no doubt be tortilla chips or popcorn!

-Drink my water every day. I am not doing good, and I have to do better at this especially since I am on Glucophage.

-Exercise 5 times per week. This is my worst of the three. I really do good at eating, I just can't get my @ss away from the computer!

-Post my menu and exercise here each day for accountability!

Tomorrow I will work on the basement, getting it nicer so it won't be so lousy to go down there.

Oh Dyan, you are missing a whole world without salads! Yes, romaine is much better than iceberg! I hate iceberg. No nutritional value, either. You should hit some salad bars and load up! Ruby Tuesday's has my favorite.

BTW, thanks for the word doc! That is a really good idea. I need something like that on my fridge to keep me in line!
  • mine are:

Drink 2 liters of water a day

    Stick to my low carbing

Stick to my 200 crunchies a day that i do

    Buy myself some bathroom scales!!!

    Good luck everyone!!!

Oh and post my menu on here, thats a great idea...really makes me think about what im eating
  • Hi My original plan was to start on Tuesday (after the holiday) so that's when I'll be starting. Tomorrow I'll post my plans and goals.
