Denial Isle

  • Denial Isle

Portion distortion:Where 2 cups of pasta equal 1cup when counting calories.
Bring on the the food scale & measuring cups.

Exercise slacking:Coasting along on the treadmill & weight machines.
Bring out the heart rate monitor, pedometer, & exercise log.

Memory loss: Where is my calorie counter, measuring cups, water bottle,
    pedometer,exercise log, & the scale

Math regression: I don't understand why I am gaining weight?
    That's right calories in=calories out=maintenance.

Denial Isle is very intoxicating but comes with a price tag, (7 pounds for me).

I am checking out, hello "Real life"
  • Amen
  • Thankfully it can all be turned around and rather quickly. A few weeks ago I found myself 5 pounds over my target weight, (8 pounds over my favorite weight). It took 2 weeks of "back to the basics" but it worked! I'm loving the scale this morning at 140!

Get your rear in gear and get it back off. The longer you wait, the harder it is!
  • Welcome back to Real Life Gina! I'm working on coming there with you!

My Denial Isle has the added kick of:
Exercise exaggeration: 'forgetting' to turn off the HRM and letting it run for an extra hour after workout completed and counting those calories & minutes as part of the burn & time log
  • Exercise exaggeration: I forgot about that one, how 10 reps count as 15 and didn't I do 3 sets (no way).

Thanks for the encourgement Ladies. Its tough getting back to reality,
