Holy heck! Well I'm only 10 weeks out and still very much in the learning phase of my journey. I bought a food scale pre-op but truthfully--I haven't really ever used it. I've been "eyeballing" my portions, listening to my pouchie to tell me when its satisfied..still in my mind they are very tiny portions. So today I was online looking @ sum bariatric recipes. One poster advised about making sure to weigh the denser foods in particular. *on a side note I tried a ground turkey and tofu chili recipe that was thick, hearty, and sooo delicious. I decided to weigh what I had served myself and was surprised to see it was 5 oz and I hadn't even topped it w/ cheese yet! Wow! So I scooped some out and I'm so glad I decided to weigh it. For now, I am still learning what a proper portion size is and I'll be weighing out my portions more consistently now. Just wanted to share my "ah-ha moment" with ya'll. Oh and please 4give my textiness and typos, I'm posting this from my cell
