I've been feeling a little bit demoralized lately. I haven't checked my weight on the scale in a while, and I have no perception of what I look like. Anyway, I have 2 pics here, one is from today and the other is from precisely 2.5 months ago. I am not saying which is which, I want to see if people (strangers, not friends or family that flatter me just to encourage me) can honestly tell which pic is from when.

Btw, sorry about the dirty mirror. The only full length mirrors I have in my house are the basement. That's how you know I have issues.

Unless you are wearing a different pair of pants I would guess the last one is the newest. However, if that IS a different pair of pants, or I have guessed wrong, you have a nice figure to begin with.

Um????? Do you really need ask on this one??? The first is sooooo the newest! You look soooo good and have to be like at least(shoot me if this is wrong...28-35# thinner) I mean.. Hello? This one was too easy, even my DH could choose and see a difference.

It looks like Picture A is the newest!!! But it's kinda hard to tell from the different angles...but if you look closely, you can see the change!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GIRL!!!

A is thinner but it's a bit deceiving like in those weight loss commercials because in one pic you're zoomed in.

It's hard to tell because picture B is a close up and picture A is further away, so naturally you look smaller in the further away one - A.

But why haven't you been on a scale???? If you're interested in weight loss and taking some action to make it happen and yes it does take some time to *show up*, wouldn't you want to monitor your progress on the scale, to know that it's working? And if it's not, then you need to know it for sure so you can make improvements.

For me, and we're all different, but for me, hiding from the scale was a way of denial. Stepping on that scale is brutal reality and helps to keep me on track. Avoiding it, usually means I don't want to deal with the truth. If you don't deal with the truth, then you really can't expect a change....

I also think that you look smaller in the first one, but I can't tell if that's what I'm seeing or camera tricks. Not saying that there isn't a change, but with the dark outfits, camera angles, etc, it's hard to compare the two pictures.

I also suggest trying the scale. I hid from the scale for years, and it didn't do me any good. Without it, even if you are making the effort to lose weight, you have no idea if your efforts are paying off. With regular weigh ins, you'll be able to figure out what works or doesn't work for you. Not that the scale is the only indicator of progress. There is also clothes fit, measuring inches, improvement in fitness level, etc.
