to your door meals..

  • So I'm a college student and I have issues with what to eat. I have a small fridge, and live off a toaster and microwave. I've actually considered starting to order nutrisystem or jenny craig or even weight watchers meals because it will be delivered to me, and I don't have to worry about grocery shopping and the temptations of the grocery store. What I am worried about is it working for me and gaining it all back, after I stop. I know it works because I know people who lose weight on it. It would just be convinent for me.
  • Nutrisystem food is kind of gross, and you STILL need to supplement it with a lot of vegetables, so the limited fridge space will affect you - plus you get huge shipments at a time, and storing it is a pain.

A friend of mine did Diet-to-Go - the food is frozen but you get it in smaller batches and its REAL food. He lost weight on it, and was able to keep it off after he stopped.
  • Im just at a loss what to do lately. Living on campus makes it difficult.
  • What about Seattle Sutton? All of their foods are home-made and nutritious. I have heard great things about how good they taste.

I also really love Kashi microwave meals. They are all natural and fabulous, and Target carries them even in the non-Greatlands.
  • Seattle Sutton's is pretty good, but you do get 3 or 4 days of food, twice per week, which wouldn't fit in the typical dorm fridge.

If your fridge is the small cube style, there's no way you'd have enough storage space. If your fridge is at least 3" tall, you might get it all in.
  • I had to live off weight watchers and other microwave meals for a while and I have never felt so malnutritioned in all my life (Sorry weight watchers people!). So um yeah. Not so helpful advice really ^_^'' Could you get a hot plate or something and cook fresh? I knwo its tricky on a college budget
