San Diego people...

  • Just have to tell you we had a wonderful time in your area for our 3 week vacation. The sunshine was heavenly by day, nights were cool, but still great. We only had, I believe, one day of rain and two nights of light rain. Love sleeping with a light rain going, so that was cool. By the time we wanted to walk on the beach it was sunny and warm.
Thanks to everyone's suggestions on here I had just the right clothes. I don't think I ever wore my heavier fleece jacket, but the lightweight jacket and the denim shirt were just the right weight for a late day stroll.
Going to Balboa Park was a favorite day for me. We stayed in La Jolla a block from the beach, visited all the beaches south, and north to some casinos. Fun, fun, fun.
The only bad part...coming back to the mid-west...20 degree temps. and snow.
  • I'm glad you enjoyed yourself!! I just got home from a run around mission bay

JESS you probably passed by my daughter

SUE I am so glad the weather held out for you...we did have a ton of rain before you came and it is raining here this morning...with showers expected for a few days....lucky you!

The rain sure is helping the plants grow...no more drought here in California
  • I have to say I LOVE the San Diego area. We spent last July there & will be spending June this year! Hubby & I have been throwing around the idea of moving to the area :-)
  • I think I could live there very happily....IF I could take my home with me. We just built a new house 3 years ago at a fraction of the cost of CA homes. (mid-west here) Wouldn't be a good move on retirement income.
