3rd Time's The Charm

  • From childhood through middle school I was of a good size. A bit thicker in the stomach, thighs and butt but overall average size. High school though I started gaining a bit more weight but nothing that made me think I would be the size I would eventually become. Later in life I lived a very sedentary lifestyle and along with an addiction to sweets, carbs, regular sodas and the internet I really started packing on the weight. After I met my soon to be husband I ballooned up in weight a very substantial amount. Once I got married I became and stayed overweight ever sense.

I believe my heaviest weight was upper 220's or lower 230's pounds. When I decided to loose weight I was 222 lbs. First go around with weight loss I lost no pounds. Second time I got down to 215. And this time around I have gotten myself down to 206 pounds. I haven't been doing too much to loose weight, if I tried too hard I gave up too quickly. I have cut down on how much I eat (not necessarily what i eat), started drinking more water, started walking about 3-4 miles a day at work, and cut out sodas.

I am now down to 182lbs for a total weight loss of 40lbs. I would like to reach 30 more lbs to reach my goal of 152.
  • Congratulations on your successful journey so far! You are doing great. I hope you find this site helpful as you continue your journey.
  • Hi Charlie, great work on losing weight so far. It sounds like you've got the right idea with still giving yourself treats, but just cutting back on how many you have, it's a good way to stay motivated rather than feeling like you're starving yourself! Looking forward to seeing you around the forums! x
