Hi everyone!

My friend is becoming a second time Mom this winter and I was wondering if anyone had any gift suggestions for her shower? She doesn't know what sex the baby is yet. I am looking to get something other than baby blankets, toys etc. as they still have these things from the first baby who is now 2 years old.

An idea that came to mind is a prepaid/gift certificate for a family portrait. Being she still has everything from baby #1, why not give her a gift that will capture the addition and growth of her family forever.

As I'm sure that there are no diapers hanging around from the first baby, a big basket full of supplies for that purpose would probably be welcome!

I think a really nie baby book is a good Idea. I love getting a new one for each of my kids. I am also a big fan of savings bonds.

I know i just love my infantino 6-1 carrier. I wish someone would have gotten it for me. diapers are always good, Wipes, baby bath. I think thats all I can come up with

BTW a friend of mine told me that people don't do showers for a second child because the couple have their stuff left from the first child.

I think a baby shower is a way to celebrate a special event, not just to get gifts. Besides what if the child is a different sex than the first one?

Any one have any thoughts on this?

If I had a second child, I would love a baby shower! My friends and I all got together and ate yummy food and laughed and remembered the good-old-days! Besides, I was so pressed for space and too generous, and I gave away all my baby stuff, even my crib! I say do it! You can ask your friend what she needs for the baby, then secretly tell the troops. I think it would be fun.

It's a front pack, back, high chair andyou can use it in a cart. I would check places like wal mart, I'm not sure if you have those in Canada.
