Have a Lot of Weight to Lose after Baby # 5

  • I am new here, but have lurked around from time to time. I just had baby # 5 on Dec 09, 2009 and am struggling to lose the weight. It seems like I have to fight each and every pound because they just don't want to come off! Anyway, I thought i'd introduce myself. I look forward to getting to know you all.
  • First off, congrats on your newest little bundle of joy!

Your little one isn't even 2 months old, give your body a little time to adjust as well. My little one will be 3 in March, and I still have baby fat to lose! She is my 5th as well. My older kids are 20, 18, 16 and 14, and then my little surprise as 40.

This is a great place, full of advice and humor and the occasional reality check we all need from time to time.
  • Hello and welcome, your goal is definitely achievable if you put your mind to it x
  • congrats on the new baby!!!
i have 3 myself, with my youngest about to turn 3 and i'm just now getting motivated enough to try and lose the weight. lol you're baby is still a newborn though, give yourself a little more time to heal up after delivery before you try to do any major dieting or exercise.
although it also depends on you.. after i had my boys i didnt want to do anything.. i felt like i never had any energy.. however, after my daughter (my 2nd child) i immediately felt great and ready to go...while i was still in the hospital with her! lol just listen to your body and if it tells you to slow down, then slow down.

    good luck to you

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some to keep you motivated and inspired. Try the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
    Lee
