hello.
Well I have a couple of ?
I post this in the sbd frequent ?
But I get just 1 answer (thank you ). I just want to have more opinions.
How many portion of starch do you have in a meal? Can I have more than 1.
I have been get 1 at breakfast (1 slice bread) , 1 at lunch (1/2 cup rice) and 1 at diner (1/2 cup rice). I have been doing Ok losing 1.2 a week since I star phase 2 . Now I am trying 1 more at my mid morning snack ( crackers ).Or can I add 2 servings at dinner (1 cup of rice).
Best time to have fruit?
Well I have try strawberries but I found they give me craving ....I am not a fruit lover but I want to have at least one a day .
Do you eat beans and you Grain together ?
thanks girls....
I am only a week into phase 2 so I am still playing with just 1 grain and one fruit per day, but that sounds like a lot of starch to me. I think I remember reading somewhere that you should gradually build up to no more than 3 grain and 3 fruit servings per day. Since you are still losing with 3 grain servings, I guess you can leave the grains at 3 and maybe try adding fruit?
Apples are a good fruit to have. They are good as either a mid morning or mid afternoon snack with peanut butter. Or, chopped up in a salad. I think it's always best to have your carbs with some protein to prevent the cravings. I love my strawberries in low fat plain yogurt with some splenda. That doesn't seem to cause me cravings.
I eat beans whenever I want. I have not added other starches or grains yet at meals and don't miss them. I have added one serving of fruit or Triscuits at night. I am taking it very slowly adding in because grains are what I would typically overeat. (That and junk food, of course.)
I am sure some of the chicks who have been at this longer than I have can give you some great advice.
Wfonseca is breastfeeding I think Klosing it, so she does get to eat more. I think as long as you are eating only whole grains and are losing, you can try adding more. The book says to stop adding when you stop losing, and take away a serving or two if you want to go back to losing.
Breastfeeding uses up approximately 500 extra calories per day! As long as you are losing, I'd say you can adjust your starches to your liking.
Oh! I am sorry I missed that! Of course she will need more if she's breastfeeding! The thought almost makes me wish for another baby. :-P
I missed it too. My memory is so bad anymore and I can't remember so many things! I wish I could keep everyone straight on here and all the little details of life stories.
thanks girls ... I love to see that I did not write here that I was breast feeding , and you guys remember .... that is so nice.
