If you can have 20g carbs daily and 15 should come from vegebles, where does the other 5 come from? Even if I eat my entire 4 oz cheese, that still leaves one extra mystery carb.
I spend mine on cream for my coffee, Splenda (1/2 carb per packet), occasionally some sour cream, that kind of thing. Mainly dairy.
Eggs have carbs, cheese contains carbs, heavy cream, mayo, sour cream....5 additional carbs add up quickly.
Even sugar-free gum has carbs...like 1 carb...I usually chew half a piece at a time.
Well let's see--so far today I've had 2 eggs and 1 turkey sausage patty (1 carb plus however many are in 2 eggs) and 1/2 a chicken salad-salad i.e. a salad with 2 scoops of chicken salad on top so that was maybe 1-1 1/2 cups vegebles. Dinner tonight is beef stew--no potatos but a few carrots which I will pick around. I still feel like I am under the 20 mark though. And I sure as heck am not hungry even though the monster in my belly almost always wakes up at 4:00.
Is 20 a goal also or just a limit? Oh heck, nevermind. I'll look it up in my book tonight.
