No Bananas for me

  • So I had a banana for breakfast this morning along with 2 scrambled eggs and my normal coffee. The only thing new was the banana and it totally triggered me to eat crackers at lunch and then 3 small chocolate chip cookies this afternoon.

    I am going to try to real in this afternoon so the whole day doesn't turn into a wash. Please send me your good vibes.
  • I'm diabetic and bananas send my BGL shooting up, then it goes down and I crave more carbs. The darn things are wicked! Hang in there.

    YES, we have NO bananas!

    I'm just starting again, but last time I did SBD Ph2, carbs in the morning did me in for the day. Maybe you can add a banana in the afternoon without any problems?
  • OK, so now you know bananas set you off. Don't eat them again unless you plan for the rebound. Try another kind of fruit.
  • Do you think I should try to do one or two days of phase 1 foods only to help rebound from the B incident.

    PS, I ended up having a big greek salad for dinner with some light dressing

  • The ONLY way I eat bananas is with a good portion of protein, otherwise I get cravings that send me into a spell... I freeze them and add 1/2 of one to my protien shakes some mornings, yummy, icy, creamy goodness!
