I agree with mortonpixie, a simple quick meal of a sensible sandwich and fruit makes a great choice. As for protein bars, I find that some Atkins bars are a good choice and I can get them in bulk at Sam's. If I am really pressed for time and am on the go, I sometimes eat a ready-to-drink shake (i.e. Muscle Milk Light) and an Atkins bar as my meal. Neither require refrigeration and both are fairly low on calories and meet my needs for low carbs / low sugar (as a diabetic). I hope you find a meal that fits into your work schedule.
