I think part of my problem may be...

  • That I have been skipping my multi vitamin. I took it for the first week, but have not been taking it for the past 2. Could that make a difference with my weight loss? It is all that has changed.

Try taking your multivitamin again for a week and see what happens, but don't count on it. There are probably other forces at work (sounds rather ominous, doesn't it?!).

I wouldn't think that taking a multivitamin would cause you to lose weight, but taking one never hurts. Are you still on plan, eating the same amount of calories, exercising the same, etc? What kind of differences in loss are we talking? A pound? A quarter-pound?
  • I don't think that would make any difference. To my knowledge, vitamins do not play a role in weight loss. But, they are probably a good idea for folks who have cut back enough on what they are eating that they are not getting enough of the daily recommended vitamins/minerals just for your overall health.

Sometimes we have a big first or second week and then see very little the next week or so. Just stay persistent and you should start losing again so long as you are taking in less than you are burning. Hang in there!
  • I notice a drop in my energy when I don't take my vitamin. Maybe if you have had a drop in energy, you're not being as productive and burning as many calories?
  • I just thought that maybe my body wasn't getting all of the nutrients I needed from my food, and with no multi vitamin - it was holding on to some of what I have. I know it wasn't making me lose weight, I just thought it was helping me to get what I need now so my body would let go of what it has stored.
