Is Chai Tea Legal?

  • How about chai tea....at our small coffee shop they are loaded with sugar and I would love a good one without the sugar!
  • I buy decaf chai tea bags and add some milk (and splenda). It is not as rich as what you get a coffee shop, but reminds me of the flavor.
  • That's a good idea! Thanks!
  • I do that at home, but did you know you could do it at Starbucks, too? You have to explain clearly to them, as they also have that sugary mix for chai. Just ask them for a Tazo Chai teabag tea with steamed milk. It's SOOO good!

I also make chai at home using DaVinci's sugar-free chai syrup. It's super easy and incredibly good. Try a dollop of 1% milk in a mug of skim and heat it with the syrup. Yumm-o!

I also recently made Morning Glory Chai, which was an experience! You heat spices in a bot with boiling water for 20 minutes (smells SO good), then steep tea and herbs in the mixture for five minutes. You strain it, then add milk. I also added vanilla-flavored liquid stevia, and it was totally divine!
  • I have to put a pitch in for Chai Wallah (directions for making chai here) too. Yes, he started this at the Co-op (are you all sick of my co-op yet?!)
