Right now, I've lost 12 pounds in 12 days, which is amazing, on this diet, but understanding how the water weight, glycogen thing works now (read the information up above the boards and learned a lot!) I know that the next few weeks will likely mean a stall for me as far as the scale goes.
And I'm fine with that. I've prepared myself mentally to know that for perhaps the next four weeks, there won't be any downward movement of the scale, as my body readjusts with the water situation, etc. That that is a normal part of this process and absolutely to be expected.
When the scale stops going down, I won't stop low-carbing. I will continue on because low-carbing makes me feel wonderful. And also I have trust in Dr. Atkins and his system, and know that after the one month stall time, the scale will start moving downward again, maybe a pound a week on average or so.
I think it's really important for those of us who have seen big losses at the start of this WOE, to be psychologically prepared for the stall weeks that will naturally come after this big loss, and to commit ourselves to continuing this WOE, even if the scale doesn't move for a month.
I'm completely committed to this WOE, even if I don't lose even one more pound the next 4 weeks. How about you guys?
