Hello!

  • Hey everyone! It is good to be back.
I'm 30 years old and single.
I started out on this site at 174 pounds. I didn't post much but reading the threads on this site enabled me with a lot of education about losing weight and motivation as well.
I ended up dropping 55 pounds and was well on my way to staying fit. Then I got an unhealthy boyfriend (he was in shape; just mentally unhealthy for me) and things started to slide- I started eating more and sparsely working out.
Then I quit eating well and working out altogether.
At first I only gradually gained the weight. I thought I could get away with it, I guess. After two years, I have gained 25 pounds back; 15 of them in the last five months!
I got a Wii Fit Plus for Christmas, and it has really motivated me to exercise! It is so much fun and I always look forward to doing it! Now I'm ready to make some changes to my diet. Hoping 3fatchicks will show me the way again!
Look forward to reading all of your posts again and maybe I will jump in more this time to help keep me on track!
  • Welcome back! I wish you the best on your weight loss journey!

    Cheers,

    J
  • Hi Punchthekeys!
Hey, it happens, we lose and then gain it back (and some of us gain it all back & more!) but it sounds like you're back on track and ready to get it done - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you back with us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them. Try the 30 somethings and the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome back - you're in the right place - jump right back in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
    Lee
