  • Here is what I know. Both my sisters in law did/are doing medifast (and one is a take shape for life coach). My In Laws did the costco diet and I know my father in law said that he wished that they would have done medifast in stead.

Now my SIL helped them tweak it a little bit (not sure how). In passing conversations with my SIL she said that the costco diet thing wasn't nearly as healthy as medifast but would never say anything to them.

Given that, they did loose the weight and are keeping it off. They both said that they were full and satisfied. They said some of the food was good but a lot of it was pretty terrible. My father in law said there was a lot of it that he struggled to get through.

Anyway I'm not sure what the price of the costco one is, but unless it were drastically less I would go with medifast. I'm only on 2 day and so far its pretty good. But what reassures me is the science and research and years of reputation medifast has.

Again I don't know much about the costco plan but I have a hard time believing that it has been scientifically researched as medifast.

Either way do your research and good luck with whatever you choose to do!
