"new"ish here! Looking for some Buddies!

  • Hello! My story is typical. Struggled with weight in high school, gained weight in college, blah blah blah. Fast forward 10 years and I am still over weight!

So two years ago my friend and I set up New Year's resolutions. I wanted to lose weight and he wanted to be in better shape. We both did awesome. I went from 225 down to almost 210 by March/April. I was hanging out on 3FC posting on the forum, talking to people. I KNEW FOR CERTAIN, I was going to reach my goal of weighing less than 200 on my birthday in August.

BUT, in May of 2008, I found out I was PG! Yay! But no good for weight loss. After I had my son, it was quite an adjustment for me, going back to work, being a mom, etc. I think I had some post pardum depression and I can DEFINITELY see why some women have babies and then just "pull the rip cord" as my dad would say, and gain weight.

In September, I joined the gym at work and it has been SUCH slow going for me to get back to the roll I was on in early 2008. I have been working a lot on the excerise/physical part and now I really need to buckle down on the eating and the emotional parts.

I am hoping to meet some online buddies who are on a similar path as I am! And once again, I KNOW FOR CERTAIN I will weigh less than 200 by my birthday (it will be my 32nd!) in August!
  • Hey thar, I saw your post title and clicked it and then I saw that you are in CT, me too

If you need a "buddy" feel free to message me or email me whatever, I have been doing this since Jan 2008 and started out at 534 pounds! I have since lost more than 200 pounds and blogged the entire thing from day one (feel free to check out my blog if you like its in my sig, there are a bunch of before and after pictures there too) My wife started out around your weight (I think a little higher but not much at all 5-10 pounds if that) and has dropped I think its 65 pounds now with me. A piece of advice would be stay away from Willington Pizza! lol (noticed your prof says Willington) I am sure you have been there and already know how good everything is! welcome back to the wagon and good luck with the losses this time around, oh and congrats on the kiddo!

    As Ever
