  • Welcome back Mommie and I look forward to getting to know you.

Sometimes we have to shut out what others have to say and do what is right for us as individuals. We also have to choose a program that works for us.

I have a program that you can lose a lot of weight fast but its at a cost. I was often hungry, mentally I wasn't satisfied, I had to give up foods I enjoyed, and every meal was home cooked. I did learn a lot from it but it isn't for me long term since I have restarted over and over again for 5 or 6 years.

Calorie counting does take time but its worth it to me. With me going the frozen meal route, I spend less time calculating than I used to spend doing the other program and my grandsons will eat the things I am buying, they are not totally against nutritious food. I am physically and mentally satisfied and I haven't had any cravings thus far.

Right now my goal is to reach my goal weight by December 31st so I just have to lose 1.5 lbs a week to reach it. With all the reading I have done this shouldn't trigger any crazy switches in the body that wake the sleeping monster. Yes, its hard to accept that slow of weight loss but slow and steady usually wins the race.
