Just placed my first order

  • After much struggling and failure with calorie counting I've come to the conclusion that I need a restrictive program with easy to prepare meals.

I team drive a semi with my husband and because it's a company truck we're limited as to what we can have on the truck. No microwave. It's hard preparing my meals.

So I've decided upon MF after weeks of research.

I'm sick to death of being as big as my truck. I'm sick of being tired and hauling the weight of an extra person on my back. I'm so ready to lose weight. I think I'd eat dirt if they could prove it get the weight off. LOL

Of course I'll be whining and begging y'all for support the second day of taking the replacement meals. LOL @myself
  • that sounds like a good plan! i too struggle with the on-the-go lifestyle food convenience challenge. prepared meals that are healthy are great and preportioned so it sounds like you're off to a great start! The only thing to be wary of is to make sure that you are getting the proper nutrients that your body needs by taking multivitamins and consuming fresh produce at least a few times a day (even just for a snack). Does this program allow you to eat veggies? I find it really easy to take a bag of carrots and celery, or steam some broccoli and cauliflower and take it with me. String cheese, lowfat yogurt, apples, bananas, and even beef jerky are also great "on the go" options. Good luck to you and keep us updated on your journey!!
  • Welcome to medifast. It is tough in the beginning. Just keep reminding yourself that it will get easier. I find it helpful to keep my hands busy with knitting or something similar. Best of luck and we will be here for support any time you need it.
  • I also just placed my first order. I only order a small amount of products though to ensure that I can do the program. I am determined to do something about my health and weight issues once and for all. I stumbled on this site and hope it will help to keep me motivated....

I don't think that this gal knows what the Medifast program is all about. Medifast contains all the vitamins in their food. They do suggest two omega 3's a day what I do take. It's 5 MF meals and one lean and green NO FRUIT at all. It's very important to drink a lot of water hope you can hold it on the road I find it easy to travel with and it totally works if you follow the plan.

TXNANA it sounds like you are mentally ready for this journey. I wish you great success!
  • Thank y'all for the encouragement! I'm looking forward to my "food" getting here and I've already begun making sure I drink my water.

I feel almost like I'm entering into battle. Or like the players on a football team right before kick off where they go in the huddle and grunt a lot.
