Hello!!

Wow, I haven't been here in a long while. I just did a search, and as far as I can tell, my last time to post here was July 2008. I have been reading a little bit before posting this. I am sure no one really remembers me, but I do see a few names that are still familiar from my previous time here. My name is Christy. Like I said, I used to post/read here. But I stopped not long after I posted my last "starting over" post. I had a lot going on back then. My hubby was preparing to go on a deployment with the National Guard. I was determined to work my butt off while he was gone so he would come home to a much thinner wife. At that time, I was right above the 300 pound mark. Well, about a month before he left, we found out I was pregnant. So much for cutting calories. Being pregnant did help me lose some weight though. I wasn't actively "trying" to diet, but because of the baby, I did drink lots more water, and I was much more aware of what I was eating. The morning sickness and nausea also kept me from really gaining much, too. During the pregnancy, I either lost or stayed where I was at almost every appointment. I had my son in March of last year, and came home from the hospital at 285-ish. My hubby is now safely home from the deployment, and with a 9 month old who will be walking VERY soon, I know I need to get back on track to get to being a healthier, happier me. My little monkey is a big motivation to me. I want to be able to run and play with him, and not have him ever think "gee, those other kids are right, my Mom is kinda fat." (I have to admit something else...the two other women in my office are motivation to me, too. They are kinda petty, snooty people. Who happen be best friends, and have no tact whatsoever. Oh, and they also don't know how to save their tacky comments about my weight/looks for times when I am not around.) Back when I was here regularly, I really felt like it helped me to be accountable. So, I'm back, and plan to post regularly again. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and reaching all our goals together.
