has anyone tried eating spagetti squash while on medifast....is that even allowed???
the stuff is a great sub for pasta cravings
Probably a sub for carbs becausie it is a carb? I love it....
spaghetti squash is on the list as a higher carb selection a serving is 1/2 cup
So eat up you can have 1 1/2 cups for your three servings of green
I myself never tried it. Not a fan of any squash but I just may give it a try.
I love spaghetti squash.
You can also use shirataki noodles. "Shirataki are calorie free, they are only made of soluble fiber. Fiber is in itself a type of carbohydrate in chemical structure but it has no calories and has no effect on blood sugar so it is essentially inert." - from the Miracle Noodle website - google medifast shirataki to find.
Medifast FAQs say: Yes. You can have shirataki noodles -- serving size 1-1/2 cups (12 oz). This would be considered the “Green” portion of your Lean & Green Meal.
You might give these a try as a "pasta". Make SURE you rinse them well!!! There are lots of recipes out there for them, even on the medifast website.
Love shiritaki and spaghetti squash both!
Shiritaki takes on the flavor of what you add to it, so it is easily made with some chicken broth and can be a great stir fry or spaghetti and meatballs...all MF compliant.
I love vegetables, so spaghetti squash with Molly McButter on it is great. Love it roasted more than microwaved, but will eat either.

You can also try Kelp Noodles in place of pasta.
I looked them up and saw you can get them on-line. Tell me more about them, please. They look really good from what I saw.

Kelp noodles are seaweed. They are clear and wet and have a mild salty, taste like some kinds of fish. They come ready to use so no cooking or preparing. They have a very unusual texture so I wouldn't buy them in bulk until you have tried them. I buy them at Whole Foods and toss in some steamed vegetables and scallops then dress with a nice rice vinegar.
I found a new WHole FOods nearby so I think I will check them out. Thanks
