Not sure where to put this question, WL support seems like kind of a catch-all...
So I'm wondering if we burn more calories during TOM. I mean, our bodies are working at something extra, causing us some pain (sometimes a lot of pain), and I know that you need to take in more iron during this time, but what about calories?
Even if we do burn more, I imagine it wouldn't be that much. (Don't worry, I don't want to use this as an excuse to overeat, I just want to understand my body better!)
Has anyone read anything about this?
ughh TOM is usually bad for weight loss ... our bodies tend to retain a little water around this time ... i find during the TOM i am at a constant +.5 pounds - the same exact weight i was when i started ... when i stay on plan and i excersize and eat well i usually loose point something of a pound evrey day even if its small its something ... alot of posters here say they gain a little during TOM but it seems to come right back off for them as soon as its over
idk.... maybe evreyone is totally diffrent im not sure ... its a mystery i suppose lolz
I've heard that you do burn SLIGHTLY more but then I haven't seen any proof to back that up. I do notice I am very hungry the day before TOM and sometimes during as well. I mean that slightly more isn't an insane amount- from all I've read I've heard numbers ranging from 100-300 calories a day- which is an extra snack or small meal, which usually is what I eat more of. I wouldn't count it as license to go crazy though lol.
I know TOM is coming because the day before I crave PB and milk- two things I never eat any other time of the month. I treat myself to one half of a pb and J and then a small glass of milk. Funny that I say treat myself when I don't like it any other time lol.
