I just saw my doctor for the first time in well over a year.
At my heaviest of 247, my blood pressure was steadily increasing and I was worried meds would be in my future.
Yesterday my bp was 112/70
And my pulse was at 60!

AND, her scale said I was at 213!!!! When I told her that I loved her scale she said most patients B*&$% that it weighs them HIGHER!! than their home scales!!

I posted a little while ago that the gym was out for me due to a back injury so i've really been paying much more attention to what I'm eating and it's clearly working. My exercise consists of 3 days of physical therapy for 1 hour a week of just strength training, 10 mins of the bike, and stretching. And I make sure to do my stretching on my off days. I'm just shocked that I've managed to LOSE ANYTHING! I would have been happy maintaining!

Just wanted to give a big hug to everybody on this site. You guys are the best support system anyone could ever ask for!

That's wonderful!! Congrats on the weight loss! I'm sure your doc was happy to see a smile instead of an angry face after you were weighed. Haha.

Thanks so much everyone! As much as I love the way I'm starting to look (as is the hubby ), it was a great confirmation that the healthy things I'm doing are affecting my body in ways that I even can't see. I'll be going for bloodwork in a about a week so I'm guessing my cholesterol, etc. will be down as well.
