My name is Kelly, I am 25 yrs old, newly married, ((Oct 30, 2009
)) and at my heaviest weight. My husband has joined the Air Force, and will be shipping out for Basic this coming July, I am very proud of him. While he has started exercising and preparing for Basic Training he is having no problem losing weight and getting fit. Though he has a thing like his booty getting kicked in Basic to motivate him to shape up! I would really like to work out with him, and get in shape right along his side. But I have no motivation. I'm the type that will sit here and cry about being overweight while I eat a entirely too large bowl of chocolate swirl ice cream!! Actually I have something that is always in the back of my mind that makes me cringe at the thought of physically exerting myself. About 4yrs ago I had a tubal pregnancy, they had to go in and take out my left fallopian tube. I have since been dealing with sometimes crippling pain due to scarred tissue. When I try to do exercise it brings that pain out. Even if I go lightly it still hurts, and what good is that gonna do me, if I cant push myself even just a little bit more? UGH! I feel like such a whiner sometimes because of it all, but if you don't have scarred tissue, its hard to understand. I really hate that I have to deal with this because I love running, and doing crunches ((on one of those work out balls)) and using free weights, which doesn't really affect my scarred tissue.
So, now that I have spilled my guts about that whole thing I was wondering.... does anyone know of any kind of exercise I can do to not agitate too badly the pain I get from my scarred tissue, or maybe even some type of pain reliever that I could take before hand to suppress it just enough that I wouldn't have to stop working out?
I don't expect anyone to be able to give medical advise, just maybe an idea or two for me to work with. Or maybe a couple kind words that might push me to even push past the pain!
THANKS
Kelly
