SB Miracle

  • Geez...a miracle happened today. I was all plunked down on the couch this afternoon for my usual TV fix and decided instead I'd hop on my bike and take a ride through town. I was really astounded with what seemed to be a major shift. Hmm...exercise over TV....and as I headed down to the street I realized I've been OP for 6 months! Now that's the real miracle!

Once I knuckled down and got through the first 6 weeks, it's been really easy. I feel totally on track. For me I think part of the reason it's easy is because I don't take off plan bites. The Doritos I absolutely adore are not nearly as tempting when I resist the urge to have just a few.

I couldn't have done it without all of you beachers THANKS!! and I plan on sticking around. I'm ready to send all this excess fat down the road...and I still have plenty!

Dinner tonight is just as planned; Chix and Wild Rice Casserole, Green Beans w/slivered almonds and a great salad. I did splurge and have a treat-I bought a banana at the store and enjoyed it for my afternoon snack.

When I started I pledged to myself that I would do this for 6 months then reevaluate. I have new ski boots paid for by the blood pressure meds I no longer take. On May 5th when I started-pretty depressed about my weight-I would have never dreamed I'd be thinking of skiing for the first time in 25 years. It is a miracle!
  • Congratulations Debbie! You are a daily inspiration to me. Skiing again sounds exciting. Something I haven't done in ages! I'd probably break something if I tried it.
  • Thanks, Anne. You have totally helped me through these months. Say hi to Sophie, my little Bing is sitting on the couch beside me.
  • Congratulations- you are doing amazing
