Fresh Start Program

  • Good Morning All:
Has anyone here tried The Fresh Start Program? It is based
on glycemic index and watching the carbs. I have a heck of a
time losing weight so I am wondering if I am insulin sensitive.
I am combining using a food mover with the Fresh Start choices
to see if this works for me. I eat approx. 2000 calories per day
as per instuctions with my food mover. I am using the card for
    over 250 pounds as I am 265. When I reach 249 I am suppose
to switch to 1800 calories per day. I do 20 minutes 5 times a
week on my gazelle and I walk a couple of miles briskly 5 days
a week. Can anyone else relate to the difficulty in shedding the
pounds when it was once so easy to do. Oh yes, let me mention
I am also 45 years young. I wonder if this is playing into my
    problem as well
  • I've never heard of this program! Sounds like Sugar Busters and Richard Simmons? Do you have a link to something that has a good description of it?

I heard that the Gazelle is pretty good, but I'm kinda scared of it myself! Tony Little has those short little legs and he looks like he is doing the splits on them! Do you like it?

Yes, many of us know that the weight loss sure slows down with age! I guess God figured we gained a lot of patience in our lives and could handle it....
  • Hi Anne,
Just wanted to say hello. I personally don't know anything about your program, but the chicks here are great! They can solve almost any problem, and advice? They have it all!

    Welcome!

  • Her web site is cathigraham.com
She has lost an amazing amount of weight herself! Way over
100 pounds. She has been interviewed extensively here in
    Canada on radio and T.V.
I love the gazelle. It is easy to use, no stress on the joints
and it gets my heart rate up!! It also holds my 265 which alot
of excercise equipment doesn't which I think is ridiculous its alot
of weight but there is alot heavier.
    Anne.
