Meatballs for spaghetti?

  • Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has a meatball recipe? I found one in the recipe blog but it was with an asian sweet sour sauce.. I thought it would be good with melba toast blended in for "spaghetti". Has anybody tried this or have a recipe for it?

    Thanks

my center made these to go with soup. They used ground buffalo as its more juicy as compared to turkey or chciken

    8 crushed melba rounds

    2 tsp dried parsley

    2 tsp oregano

    1 tsp onion powder

    1 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp Mrs. Dash tomato basil garlic

8 oz. 96-99% lean ground meat
Mix together and bake meatballs in oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes
  • I suggest lining the pan with foil and spraying it with Pam or brushing on a little oil or these will probably stick. Leaner meat sticks more...less fat to keep it off the pan... just a suggestion.

I haven't tried this yet, but why couldn't you use the Turkey Loaf recipe from the cookbook and modify it a bit by adding Italian Seasoning, rolling into balls and baking at a higher temp for a short period of time?

    Just thinking here...
