NSV-viewer beware!!!

  • Ok, this might bother some people, but I had to post this because I know so many others can relate. Being at 342+ comes with its own set of problems and using the bathroom when out in public is one of them. Every time I had to "go" I had to look for the biggest stall, as though I were handicapped. Now I don't know about anyone else but I felt bad, if coming out of the "big stall" and saw someone in a wheel chair waiting for me to get done with my business. Of course there were times when I had to wait for the big stall and I have even heard little children ask their moms why I was just standing there when the bathrooms were open . So imagine today when I realized that for the past two or three weeks I have been using the regular stalls without even thinking about it, here I was just sitting there when it hit me, it was kind of a duh moment . I know this may sound really stupid but over the years I know my family has waited for me while I waited for that special seat, and that has been embarrassing to say the least. Now, I'm still no where near my goal weight but I do feel more normal . Also fitting into a booth at a restaurant is wonderful. No more special seating, worrying about chairs holding my weight or chair arms digging into my legs or waiting while others who came after me get seated. I can finally fit where other normal people fit, even if it is toilets and booths!!! Trust me this was NO SMALL VICTORY!!!!!!!
  • I always go into the handicapped ones even though I fit in the smaller ones and the booths omg I hated going to burger king bcuz the seats seemed to be made for only children to fit in!
  • Well done!! its such a relief isn't it just to feel more 'normal' ( no offence to anyone intended there). Once u get to a certain weight its like everything u do becomes 'special' u can't just relax when it comes to sitting somewhere which is really horrible In a way I wish we built everything with the bigger person in mind, but in the real world this doesn't happen... Anyway congratulations, I have a million more NSVs I want to acheive and lots of them are around getting my freedom back in little ways...

    well done you!1
  • Congrats for making your life easier already!!!!
  • It doesn't sound stupid to me at all. These are real issues that we're faced with. Way to go on the major improvements to your quality of life.

Hang on tight. Those NSV'S are just going to keep on multiplying and multiplying. Showing you how very worth it this all is. Keep it up. Just keep plugging away and those rewards are yours for the taking!!!
  • Heck, I sat in a chair that I always avoided and I fit into it so nice and I thought "huh...well there ya go" lol...

Those little victories mean so much as you can't always depend on the scale numbers!

    Well done!
  • WOOT YOU GO girl sorry this is late but still I know what you meant I used to have to use the special stall, but now I can get into a regular one.
