    to the November exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

    In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!

    In 2007 the 300+ club exercised 205,352 minutes. Let’s break that record!

    To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as
    Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes

    We've made a great start and I'd love to see us hit 15K minutes for October!!! What do you say chicks and roosters??

    We have joined our local gym & pool today I am really excited about getting my mojo back exercise wise Very exciting am going to start swimming first as confidence a bit low for the gym just yet. Need to get a wriggle on

  • No goals for me, however, here's my workout for today - 50 mins

    Group total: 40 + 50 = 90 mins
  • I'm going to go for 2,000 mins this month. It's going to be a busy one! Don't want to overset my goal.

    -30 mins '30 Day Shred'

    Personal Total 30/2,000 mins.

    Group Total 90 + 30 = 120 mins.

    Today I got in 50 min of cardio.

    Personal Total: 50

    Group: 120 + 50 = 170
  • Heather - I think the challenge is on - let's break the record in NOVEMBER!!!
  • 30 minutes Tae Bo/Cardio (hurt my side owwwwwie)

    Group Total (170 + 30) = 200
  • Group Total - 200 +90 = 290

    60 minutes Water Aerobics
    30 minutes Walking

    Personal - 90/2000
  • Group Total: 290 + 90 = 380

    10 minutes Hard Core Abs
    35 minutes Booty time
    25 minutes Party Express
    20 minutes walking video
  • just 15 min to add... a quick walk...

    Group total ~ 380 + 15 = 395 min
  • Well, didn't quite make my Oct goal, but I'm gonna leave it at the same level. Probably going to have to pick up some treadmill time, since it's getting dark earlier, now.
    Sun = 0 (intestinal bug--only exercise I got was running to the john, heheh)
    Mon = 40 minutes quick paced dog walking

    So:
    Personal Goal = 40/1000

    GROUP TOTAL = 395+40 = 435
  • 11/2: 90 min - weights/cardio
    11/3: 50 min - bike ride

    Personal: 50+ 140 = 190

    Group: 435 + 140 = 575
