Here I go again!

  • Hello! Well, after a month of reading this site daily, I've decided to join and make this reality.

I'm 26 years old, 5'3ish, and currently at 169.2 lbs. I'm actually in good shape. My highest I've ever been was in March 2008 and that was 172. I've never been an exerciser or concerned in any way about what I ate. I was a tomboy gymnast growing up and was always an average athletic build. In college I walked miles daily and actually lost weight to about 135.

So back to 03/08, I was 172, and my college rommate was getting married soon. So, with strict diet and a large amount of cardio, I was able to drop to 146 by the end of June. I've gained it back, lost it again, and now have gained it back!

I'm going to do it again! This time for good. I have no problem watching what I eat and exercising but can never stick to it. I have a super in-shape military boyfriend who is extremely supportive and though we are adjusting to the post-moving in together preparing big dinners each night life, he is completely behind me on this.

I look very forward to the support and drive I will get from this web site as a member. I'm currently doing C25K and am playing with the idea of 30 day shred as well. Who knows? Maybe this time I'll make it all the way to my goal instead of getting stuck at 146 and giving up!
  • Hello and welcome! I wish you the best on your weight loss journey!

    Cheers,

  • Hi charleston424!
Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome aboard - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
  • Welcome to 3FC and good luck with your goals.

    Hugs
    Michelle
